A wild gooseneck barnacle, also called percebes in Spanish

Gooseneck barnacles, also called Percebes, are crustaceans that cling to rocks in places that have strong crashing surf. In Spain and Portugal, they’re considered a rare and wonderful delicacy, thanks to their sweet flesh, which tastes a little sweet and a bit like a cross between lobster and clam, with the texture being closer to scallops.

No other shellfish takes you closer to a feeling of actually eating the sea!!!

They’re extremely expensive, because gathering them is such risky and controversial work. In Europe, a single kilo of Percebes can fetch almost $500.

Now they become an affordable gourmet plate on your home table thanks to our sources in Peru.

Galapagos langostinos wild and an extrordinary food ingredient
Galapagos langostinos wild and an extrordinary food ingredient

Galapagos of Ecuador, known as the "Living Biological Evolution Museum", is known for its exotic flora and fauna and beautiful natural scenery, and was included in the world's natural Heritage by UNESCO in 1978.

This type of shrimp is coming from the natural waters of Galapagos, growing wildly, fleshy and clean. From 2013, the Ecuadorian government authorizes the opening season for artisanal capture during a very short period of 15 days.   At the same time, the size of the shrimp are strictly regulated. The length of the whole shrimp must be within 22-29 cm.

The available quantity each year is very limited. We will arrange for the air to be returned to Hong Kong for sale as soon as possible after harvesting.
